Eve’s final resting place is in the historic churchyard at St. Columba’s, the Berkeley Memorial Chapel in Middletown, Rhode Island. Middletown, is the town in which Eve’s mother, Barbara, grew up. Eve used to jog by this peaceful place and the chapel was the location of her mother Barbara’s marriage in 2000. At that time, Eve commented that it was the “most beautiful church” she had ever seen. See Google link at bottom for directions.
The National Park Service added the chapel and its grounds to the National Register of Historic Places in 2022. Here is a related article with photographs and the interesting history of the chapel, which was constructed from 1884-1886.
Please feel free to visit Eve’s grave at 55 Vaucluse Ave., in Middletown Rhode Island 02842 It is along the stone wall on the right hand side of the driveway into the chapel. We hope if you are in the area, you will contact Eve’s mother through the link below and visit her if you can. Contact Barbara Roy.
